Clay Pigeon Shooting
Experience the excitement of clay pigeon shooting at the Yorkshire Dales premier clay pigeon shooting ground, Warren Gill. There are very few shooting grounds as picturesque and welcoming as Warren Gill. The ground is family run and is set in a narrow, secluded tree lined Valley of Lower Wensleydale.
This purpose made shooting ground accommodates for all shooting abilities from the complete novice to the seasoned professional. All are welcome, especially ladies and children as there is a friendly family atmosphere and everyone is encouraged to participate in this growing sport.
If you haven’t had much experience at clay pigeon shooting, but fancy a go then Warren Gill provides the perfect environment to do so. The team are extremely patient and not in the least bit intimidating…and almost always ensure you don’t leave without hitting a few clays!
You shall learn the basics of clay pigeon shooting by a qualified, friendly and enthusiastic coach. Each coach has numerous years of experience in clay pigeon shooting so you shall be in very knowledgeable hands.
Your day shall begin at the clubhouse. Here you shall be welcomed by your coach and given a short safety talk and gun fit. For your safety you shall be given ear defender and hat which must be worn at all times. Once you are prepared, you shall head out to the shooting stands where you shall be given group or on to one instruction by your coach on gun handling techniques. There are numerous traps so you shall be sure to have plenty of opportunity to practice and perfect your shooting.
During the session you will learn how:
• To stay safe when clay pigeon shooting
• How to handle a gun
Warren Gill also offer one to one sessions for experienced shooters. If you are an experienced shooter you can also book to use the facilities without tuition. Experienced shooters are welcome to bring their own guns.

• Comfortable, casual clothing to suit the weather.
• Any personal medication (please make us aware of any serious medical condition at the time of booking).
• At certain times of the year a thermal top, hat and gloves are also advisable!
