Low Row

Low Row is a peaceful village in Swaledale which stretches along the main road 3 miles from Reeth between Healaugh and Gunnerside.

The Coast to Coast walk passes very close by the village but for those that are not so keen on such a challenge, there are many less strenuous walks in the area. For example, there is a beautiful walk that takes you nearly all the way to Grinton on the banks of the River Swale at the foot of the valley. Whilst you stroll along the river bank you can take in the stunning views of the rolling hills either side of you, which is stunning on a summers day!

The Punch Bowl

The Punch Bowl is the only pub in the village of Low Row, and offers a great refreshment point for many cyclists and walkers. The Punch Bowl is renowned for its extensive menu and serves top quality food daily. The one thing that attracts both locals and tourist back to this pub is the guaranteed warm welcome you shall receive from the manger and staff time and time again.

Hazel Brown Farm

Hazel Brown Farm is a genuine working Yorkshire farm based in Low Row. The visitor Centre offers a chance for you to experience the traditional Dales farming life. Friendly staff are on hand to introduce you to the animals that live on the farm and if you’re lucky enough to visit in April you may even see a lamb being born.

Sandpiper Cottage

Sandpiper Cottage is a welcoming and cosy traditional Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage located on the hillside overlooking the Swale Valley. The nearby village of Low Row nestles amongst the famous flower meadows of Swaledale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sandpiper is an end terrace holiday cottage of three and is accessed via a farm track (250 yards from the road), and as the end-terrace, allows you to enjoy the beauty of Swaledale from this prime spot.


Bird's Nest Cottage

Bird's Nest Cottage is a superb Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage which achieves the Visit England’s Four Star Gold rating. Situated on a dale in Low Row it offers a magnificent view over Swaledale and beyond. Bird’s Nest holiday cottage is a Grade II Listed Building which has been beautifully renovated to maintain some of the original features.


East Paradise Cottage

East Paradise Cottage is a large, stone, Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage, situated in an elevated position in Low Row Swaledale. The holiday cottage was originally 3 buildings, which has since been renovated to provide a spacious detached dales holiday cottage.


The Old School

Nestling within the heart of the picturesque Swaledale village of Low Row is The Old School, just 4 miles from Reeth. The Old School is an impressive Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage, meticulously restored to offer a wonderful holiday retreat retaining many of the original features, yet incorporating a contemporary twist.
